Inspections
The Regional District of Central Kootenay provides building permit inspection services in Electoral Areas A to K. For inspections in the municipalities of Castlegar, Creston, Nelson, New Denver, Salmo, and Slocan contact the municipalities.

Three business days notice is required when booking an inspection. It is the responsibility of the owner or designated representative to call or email for inspections as construction proceeds.
Required building inspections: please note that not all permits require every type of inspection.
To provide a seamless and positive experience, the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) Building Department has introduced a new centralized email address for booking building permit inspections. Inspections can still be booked by phone, ensuring the public can easily access inspection services through various channels.
